What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
– Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom
– Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher and work with individual students or small groups
– Help supervise students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom
– Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High school diploma or GED
– Valid Texas educational aide certificate
– Successfully pass a skills assessment test
– Ability to work well with children and communicate effectively
– Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Preferred experience working with children in a public education environment
– 48 College Hours/Associate or Bachelor’s degree
