OpenGov’s IT Support Intern role is a paid, 12-week program beginning in July and ending in October. This  program offers a great experience to individuals looking to start their careers in IT and Security. Working directly with the Manager, End User Services, you’ll learn what it’s like to work with a mature IT/Security team at a growing, fun, and fast paced technology company.  You’ll get exposure to working with modern day SaaS applications and how to support them, provide fast, friendly, and helpful technical assistance to our end users, work on projects that’ll have a high impact on our organization, and meet with critical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance

• Perform troubleshooting of both hardware and software through probing and problem solving

• Provision and deprovision access to SaaS applications

• Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process of employees

• Perform basic admin functions within a wide range of IT systems

• Write clear, concise and accurate documentation on work procedures

• Assist with inventory management and procurement

• Participate on project teams to ensure successful implementation of new systems or upgrades to existing systems

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• An undergraduate degree or current enrollment in an accredited educational institution

• 1+ years previous experience in a technical support role

• Hands on approach to problem solving

• A team player attitude, working across organizations and company to continue improving the way we serve our employees

• Working knowledge of Google Workspace, and Office 365

• Strong verbal and documentation skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
