You will be pivotal in supporting a team who facilitates commercial real estate financing transactions for a wide range of commercial properties. Administrative excellence and precision under deadline is critical to being successful in this position (a project management, executive assistant, or legal background has excelled in this role). Along with a winning attitude and a love of organization, efficiency, and working at a fast pace, you are dependable, reliable, and while you can work independently, you are also a team player. Here’s a few of the finer points that we’ll also need you to bring to the table:

Education, Training, and Experience
• A relevant college or university degree, diploma, certificate, or training
• At least 2 years of experience working in a role where precision while multi-tasking and deadline management were foundational strengths for you
• Commercial real estate and funding experience will get you a leg up!

You’re also innately…
• Well above average in your Adobe, Docusign, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills, and are tech-inclined. Salesforce experience is a plus!
• A people person who is energized by day to interactions and thrives on a swift pace of business
• A team player who is agile and has the ability to pivot your focus without losing focus
• Able to pay high attention to detail under time constraints and tight deadlines
• A strong communicator, written and oral, in the English language
• Reliable, punctual, and take initiative; you’re not afraid to wear many hats
• Professional and able to practice discretion with highly sensitive information (we can’t stress the importance of this one enough!)
• Legally able to work in Canada
• Able to pass a Criminal Record Check and Educational Check

What your day to day might include
• Input and verify static data in our system for loan setup, renewal, assumption, takeout and diary requirements
• Function as the primary contact for appraisers, insurance consultants, and quantity surveyors for various requests
• Maintain digital filing records by using standard naming, merging, and uploading documents to a library, and updating our system accordingly
• Edit Adobe documents and process them for signature via OneSpan
• Consult with internal departments and respond to requests for funding activities
• Keeping current on and understanding policies and legislation for commercial mortgages

Bonus points!
• Experience with CMHC, Commercial Mortgages, or Residential Mortgages is an asset.
• Legal Assistant experience is also an asset.
