We are currently seeking a Residential Conveyancer for our Chilliwack office. We can offer an attractive and very competitive compensation package, inclusive of a Group RRSP matching program.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Full-cycle residential conveyance transactions including purchases, sales, refinances, family transfers and estate sales;
• Land Title searches and inquires;
• MHR searches and sale and purchases;
• Prepare land title documents;
• Deal with private lenders;
• Leased land transactions.
This position may present a unique and engaging opportunity for newly trained or mid-level established conveyancers to work within a large law firm environment. While we certainly do have an ongoing inventory of “standard” residential conveyance transactions including purchases, sales and refinances, we are also well-reputed in the Fraser Valley to be referred more complex residential conveyance matters.
Candidates will of course be familiar with… LTSA, BC Online, eConveyance and Steps, and preferred candidates may also have experience with Amicus, ESILaw and ALF. The successful candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, possess the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and possess very strong computer skills as we work towards increasingly digital and paperless practices.
While we are not able to offer any work-from-home arrangements for this full-time position, we are pleased to have recently completed a renovation project, to bring a more modern aesthetic to our workspaces, and offer sit-stand desks to our whole land team, who collaborate together in a dedicated 5-member Land Department section of our office.
