The Continuing Care Assistant Certificate Program from Saskatchewan Polytechnic; Health Care Aide Certification from Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT); Personal Care Aide Certificate from Saskatoon Business College (SBC) are preferred programs, due to the inclusion of training in personal care, meal preparation, respite and home management. However, an equivalent training program may also be considered.
