As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping… entrepreneurs unlock the resources they need by creating a free online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create!

How this Role ties into Our Mission & What We Need: As our Operations Department Director, you will work in a multifaceted role, helping distribute fundraising, legal, and special projects tasks among the appropriate team members. You will supervise these efforts and ensure that these team members’ services are appropriately utilized, and that team members are connected with areas of the organization where they are needed to help.

Preferred but not essential (specify in the form if you have any of these experiences):
• Experience/background in the Education or Nonprofit field
• Experience filing basic 990 tax forms for non-profit organizations.
• Experience discovering, writing, and submitting grants.
• An understanding of how to build sponsor relationships.

• Monitoring and tracking progress in grant writing efforts, providing quantitative evidence to demonstrate advancement.
• Updating the Grant Tracker spreadsheet with comprehensive information on grants, including number, specifics, and application responses.
• Overseeing the creation and maintenance of sponsorship documentation.
• Ensuring all sponsorship one-pagers and pitches are reviewed and approved before dissemination.
• Facilitating the upkeep of organizational documentation such as privacy policies, in coordination with the legal team.
• Coordinating with the finance team to ensure timely submission of tax forms.
• Supervising the involvement of special projects members in operations-related tasks or other departmental initiatives.
• Managing meetings with team members, and delineating roles based on project requirements and needs.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and regulatory agencies, as needed.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at achieving organizational objectives.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Therefore we are extremely flexible with time and just ask that you contribute what you can. If you have exams, work, or family events come up, you are more than able to take a break. During times when you are an active volunteer, we ask that you simply contribute at least 8 hours a week (ideally for at least 6 months).
